GarageCUBE is proud to introduce you to a new member of the GarageCUBE Family - Pierre Guilluy.

During the LED Fashion workshop at the Mapping festival, we met this talented and kind guy. Pierre has joined the Modul8 development Team recently and we are excited to bring you this new version of Modul8.

In this version we focused out energy on the user experience with a better Video Capture and Control.

Modul8 2.9 Alpha (build 2256)

Modul8 2.9 Alpha  build 2239 is available for download (Please to not use it for production)

This version No longer support PPC Architecture.

Video input related issues
* Input video source is greyed out with Mavericks and MBP retina 13"

IMPROVEMENT

* Modul8 is now of CategoryType Video when you order Applications by type

OSC Support Minimal documentation

OSC setup is done via the Modul8|Preferences...|OSC dialog. OSC input is announced via Bonjour for use by TouchOSC and other apps.

New!! : Modul8 OSC Dialog Window

OSC use in the Modules :

>Input : via DirecEvent(type,param)
type == 'OSC'
param contains :
 address: OSC address of the message
 args: a list of arguments
 timestamp: time when OSC message was received

>output:
modul8.sendOSC("/test", 4.1)
modul8.sendOSC("/test1", 1, 3.14159265, True, "test1", "deja")
modul8.sendOSC("/test2", (2, 2.2, True, "test2"))
modul8.sendOSC("/test3", [3, 14.15, False, "M_PI"])

If OSC is not enabled/configured in the Preferences, it will not work in the Modules.

New Module: OSC Native (global)
(comes along with default modules)
