Curse of the Alpha: The Complete Bundle by Tasha Black Genres: Adult, Paranormal, Romance 3 Stars 📚🎵 I started reading this in May of 2017. I was having trouble with it so I put it away. 📕Curse of the Alpha: Episodes 1 & 2 3 Stars My problem is with the main character Ainsley. Her inability to come to terms with herself after all the years from her 'incident' and being raised by her parents, who were the Alpha's of her pack, etc. makes her seem weak mentally and emotionally. Her refusal to deal with ANY of her realities makes me want to reach out and smack her. Since I started reading it again in 2018, from where I left off, I have enjoyed it more. I still have a problem with the main character, but I am getting into the story more. It definitely moves quickly. 📕Curse of the Alpha: Episodes 3 & 4 3 Stars While episodes 3 & 4 were somewhat better than 1 & 2, I still have a few problems with it. 1. Sometimes the descriptions get a bit long winded. 2. Really over the repetitiveness of her fathers books. 3. A couple of errors. 4. The Heroine. "Ainsley was feeling out of control. It was an unfamiliar feeling and not one that she liked." I don't know how this could be an 'unfamiliar' feeling. Ainsley seems to always be out of control, confused and flat out weird. She is so out of touch with herself it is beyond annoying. She refuses to even try to get to know anything about herself. Talk about being in denial, this girl takes the cake, ate it, threw it up and flushed it! She rants and raves. Lies about the most ridiculous things. Then sticks her head in the sand and hopes no one kicks her in the ass. 📕Curse of the Alpha: Episodes 5 & 6 3 Stars I enjoyed episodes 5 & 6 much more than the previous episodes. There was a lot more action and things happened much quicker. Without all the ridiculous mental & emotional angst Ainsley seemed determined to create for herself by putting her head in the sand, she finally started learning things and became a more interesting character. 📚🎶 I didn't love this series and it will be awhile before I consider continuing with " Fate of the Alpha " and " Heir to the Alpha". I know her writing improved by leaps and bounds very quickly as proved by her 300 Moons (published in 2016) & Building a Hero series (published in 2015). I have read the 1st 3 books of 300 Moons series and 'Reconstructed', the 1st book in her Building a Hero series . Both of which I love and will follow diligently. I did like this series. It just hasn't wowed me and I am glad it is not the first books I read of this author.

I really loved these books and have already ordered the next bundle. What I don't understand is why a bundle would have such differing amount of pages from buying the books separately. I know that you can lose some of the pages with advertising etc. but you lose so many pages it might be worth it to buy the books separately. Too late for me though as I have the next lot already. I know in the next bundle of three I lose 156 pages. You be your own judge. Good writing though so well worth a read.

Episodes 1&2 are fantastic and practically demanded that I keep reading. While the other episodes were good, and I enjoyed them, they were not on the same level. Reading #6 I had a distinct feeling that there should be 'more'. It felt like there should have been more detail, the events detailed more fully. I would recommend that readers buy the complete series, but I doubt I will be continuing with the next set.
